　　China's economy, one of the fastest-growing economies in the world and the biggest contributor to global growth, grew 9.9 percent year-on-year in the first three quarters of this year, according to official figures released on Monday, showing a trend of a slowdown amid the current global financial crisis.

　　In the third quarter, the gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate slowed down to 9 percent, the lowest in five years, from 10.6 percent in the first quarter, 10.1 percent for the second quarter and 10.4 percent in the first half of 20xx.

　　China's economic growth has been on a steady decline since peaking in the second quarter of 20xx. The slowing world economy pummeled by the global financial crisis and weaker demand for Chinese exports on international markets heavily weighted on the Chinese economy, according to Li Xiaochao, spokesperson for the National Bureau of Statistics.

　　Another widely watched indicator, the consumer price index (CPI) -- an important

　　measure of inflation -- rose 4.6 percent in September, over the same period last year. The figure, coupled with 7.1 percent in June, 6.3 percent in July, 4.9 percent in August and a nearly 12-year-high of 8.7 percent in February, shows the CPI in a downward spiral.

　　Analysts mainly attribute the decline in the CPI to ample grain supply and lower-than-expected income growth of Chinese residents, as the housing and stock markets take heavy toll, which dented residents' desire to consume.

　　Chinese stocks have shed nearly 70 percent of their value from the last year's peak at 6,124 points due to weak investor confidence.

　　The stock market rose more than two percent on Monday amid expectation the government would unveil more measures to stimulate economy. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 43.36 points to close at 1,974.01 points. Exports, one of the three major drivers of the Chinese economy along with investment and consumption, are taking hit from the global financial turmoil and economic slowdown. In the first three quarters exports grew 22.3 percent, 4.8 percent points lower than the same period last year.

　　Fixed assets investment totaled 11.6246 trillion yuan ($1.66 trillion) in the first three

　　quarters of 20xx, up 27.0 percent over the same period last year, according to the bureau.

　　The growth rate was 0.7 percentage points higher than the first half of this year, or 1.3 percentage points higher than the year-earlier level.

　　Another key economic indicator, retail sales, increased by 22 percent year-on-year in the first three quarters and climbed 23.2 percent in September alone. Analysts say China would have to further stimulate domestic consumption in order to push the economy forward amid an export slump.

　　"China still has huge potential and leeway to expand domestic consumption," Li said.The combination of an economic slowdown and easing inflation may give rise to louder calls for loosening the monetary policy and adopting a more proactive fiscal policy.

　　Analysts expect more monetary easing, building on two cuts in interest rates and banks' required reserves since mid-September.

　　The State Council said on Sunday China's economy can weather the effects of the global financial turmoil, but growth will decline as business profits and public revenues slow.

　　In a statement at the end of an executive meeting presided by Premier Wen Jiabao, it said the global turmoil and economic instability will hav

　　e a "gradual" effect on the country.

　　It said China's economic growth will slow along with corporate profits and public revenues, and as capital markets continue to fluctuate.

　　"Unfavorable international factors and the serious natural disasters at home have not changed the basic growth situation of our country's economy," said the statement posted on a government website. "Our country's economic growth has the ability and vigor to resist risks."

　　China must "adopt flexible and cautious macroeconomic policies" to maintain stable growth, the statement said.

　　The State Council said that in the fourth quarter, China should focus on developing the rural economy, while striving to control inflation.

　　出題方式：命題作文，看圖畫或圖表作文，根據所給文章(英文或中文)寫出文章摘要或大意，給出關鍵詞作文等。其中命題作文一般為提綱式，即給出提綱。可以用VIP來概括要求： P：practice，平時練習很重要，至少要包括10篇比較典型的作文例文;I：input，寫作與聽，讀，說密切相連，能在其中積累素材;V：vary，即flexible，思維要靈活開闊。

　　作文涉及內容：A關于某人的信息，例如生活方面的;B常見的社會，文化話題。不涉及知識面過廣，專業性太強的內容。

　　時間分配：A，審題，列提綱，5分鐘;B，寫作文，20分鐘;C，改錯誤，5分鐘。

　　寫作時注意：先主后次，綱舉目張，字跡清楚。文章分為三段為最佳，每段的形式為：Topic Sentence+Supportina Ideas。而且要注意使用連接詞，加強上下文的聯系。

　　三、技巧。

　　1)正反闡釋題。大多數這一類型的題目一般都會給出提綱，且一般為3部分，第1為某一種觀點，第2為與之相反的觀點，第3為"我的看法"。若題目明確給出三部分，則寫作時就要注意一定分為三段。若給出兩部分，則可以適當做調整，寫兩段或者自己添加一段為三段文章。

　　例如：99.6.題目的提綱為：1，有些人分為讀書要有選擇;2，有些人認為應當博覽群書;3，我的看法。

　　則可以按其要求分為三段;而98.6.提綱為：1，有些人認為某些數字會帶來好運;2，我認為數字和運氣無關……。可以按提綱所列條目寫，也可以再加一段內容為"有些人認為數字和運氣無關"，而"我"則同意這一觀點。

　　注意：A作文中有可能要求寫出原因如97.6.題，則一定要寫出原因，若只描述問題而缺少原因則屬于偏題，分數自然降低。如果沒有明確要求也可補充，增加內容。B一般第3部分"我的看法"中，可以贊同某一種觀點反對另一種，也可以結合兩者優點，或持中庸態度等，作出結論。

　　2)闡釋原因，方法，描述危害題。這一類型多為社會問題及現象。提綱一般也分為2~3部分，而相應地，寫作時也要明確三部分：1，提出問題;2，分析問題;3，解決問題。在"提出"中，主要描述所要說的問題;"分析"要分析問題所在或闡述出現這種問題的原因;"解決"中提出解決的方法。

　　例如：98.1.題綱：1，假冒偽劣商品的危害;2，怎樣杜絕假冒偽劣商品。可以在第1段提出假冒偽劣商品這種現象描述其危害，在第2段可以闡述其出現的原因，第3段提出解決問題的辦法。再如00.1.提綱：1，上大學的費用可以通過多種途徑解決;2，哪種途徑適合我(說明理由)。則可在首段簡要提出上學費用對于我們學生是一個不小的問題，然后闡述解決費用的`途徑，最后說明自己的方法并說明原因。

　　3)永恒話題。97.1.題目出了一句諺語Haste Makes Waste，類似的還可以有Practice Makes Perfect，Where There's a Will There's a Way，Unity Means Strength，God Helps Those Who Help Themselves等。對于這一類的題目也要把握三點：1，解釋含義;2，舉例說明;3，總結發揮。前兩點可以作為前兩段，最后可以根據自己的心得體會總結，比如我們應該怎樣避免或怎樣去做等。

　　注意：圖表題一定不要大量機械地羅列數據，而要挖掘圖表的內涵，如寫出上升或下降的趨勢或比率。

　　常用句型：描述變化：It can be seen / we can see from the gragh that…/ According to the gragh，…

　　The number has nearly doubled that of last year.

　　The number was…，less / more than half / a third / a quarter of the 20xx total.

　　指出原因：The change in…mainly results / arises from…

　　5)書信題。一般會給出信的開頭與結尾，中間部分自己作答。內容多為求職，申請，邀請等，需表達清楚，求職要列出自己的優勢言辭懇切，邀請可說明原因，時間地點也要敘述完整。

　　6)關聯詞。舉例exemplification：for example，for instance，as an example，as an illustration，such as;

　　四、短期速成應考方針：

　　1)多讀范文。范文是活生生的例子，寫起文章來得心應手。

　　2)多寫。即使離考期再短，也應多寫幾篇，寫多了自然能靈活運用詞匯，句型，修正常犯的錯誤。

　　3)熟背啟承轉合語，從而將文章順暢地連貫起來，避免單調乏味。

　　五、作文常見問題及對策：

　　1)單字少，不知該用何字，不知句子是否和語法，漢語翻譯。對策：記憶單詞在句子中的用法，盡量用現成的句子。

　　2)不知如何開頭，如何結尾。對策：該種文章乃八股文，有現成的格式，套用即可，頗省去不少麻煩。

　　3)不知該寫什么。對策：練習Topic Sentence + Supporting Ideas即中心句加擴充觀點的寫法可以協助你解決這一問題，使你輕松面對。
