provide意為“供給，提供”，強調通過儲存或準備的方式為某事做準備，以在需要時提供所需物品，常用于provide sb. (with sth.)或provide sth.(for sb.)縮構。如：
1)We must provide enough money for old age.
我們必須準備足夠的養老錢。
2)Our school provides us with all the books we need.
學校為我們提供所需要的所有書籍。
