　　如何識別托福聽力資料中的電話號碼

　　(1)基本訓練。電話號碼是由0~9這十個數字組成的，因此考生一定要對這十個數字的念法非常熟悉。許多聽力教材提供了數字的訓練音帶，大家找一本合適自己的進行練習即可。當訓練到一定程度后，建議進行“自言自語”式的訓練，即自己快速地、無意識地說一些數字，邊說邊記，以此來訓練對數字的敏感能力，這是最關鍵的一步。

　　(2)“0”在英語中有許多表示方法，如zero，nought, null, nil, nothing等，應該注意的是：英國英語與美國英語在念法上有所不同，在TOEFL考試中，“0”常念作“zero”，但在考試中“0”常念作“nought”(V35的section 4);而在電話號碼中“0”讀作字母”Oh”,就像在單詞“go”中的發音。

　　(3)讀電話號碼總的規則是：國家代號、地區代號和具體號碼分開來讀，比如中國北京的一個電話讀作86，10，87654321，對于一個特定地區的電話，一般來說只有7位或8位。7位的號碼，讀的時候前三位一組連在一起，后四位一組連在一起，中間有一個停頓，比如6254598讀作six two five，four five nine eight;8位的號碼，可以四個一組來讀，考生可參看本節后面的一些典型例句。

　　(4)兩個相同數字或三個相同的數字可以用double或triple來代替，比如2246555可以讀作double two four，six triple five。

　　(5)末尾出現三個零，可以按“千”來發音，如9796000讀作nine seven nine six thousand

　　(7)在考試中，多于5位數的電話號碼一般來說會重復說一遍，而且分組之間的短暫停頓也提供了一個思考的時間。考生只要經過一定的訓練，再注意一下本節所述的內容，電話號碼的問題就解決了。
