　　獅子看見牛群中有一頭體態肥碩的公牛在吃草，便思忖著用什么方法能讓公牛受騙上當。于是，獅子對公牛說自己殺了一只羊，并問他是否愿意賞光，和自己共同分享這只羊。公牛接受了邀請，咀是當公牛向著獅子的巢穴走時，只看到了燉鍋和水，根本沒看見羊的痕跡。于是，他一聲不吭地轉身走了。獅子在他身后大喊，帶著受傷的語氣詢問原因，而公牛則轉身說：“我的理由很充分，一看到你準備的那些東西，我就驚呆了，那個受害者可能不是一只羊，而是一頭公牛。”
