　　【背景介紹】

　　余光中（1928—），祖籍福建永春，生于江蘇南京，當代著名詩人和評論家。1946年考入廈門大學外文系。1947年入金陵大學外語系（后轉入廈門大學），1948年發表第一首詩作，1949年歲父母遷香港，次年赴臺，就讀于臺灣大學外文系。1953年，與覃子豪、鐘鼎文等共創“藍星”詩社。后赴美進修，獲美國愛荷華大學藝術碩士學位。

　　詩人的思鄉之愁不是直白地說出來的，而是通過聯想、想象，塑造了四幅生活藝術形象（郵票、船票、墳墓、海峽），使之呈現在讀者眼前。作者把對母親、妻子、祖國的思念、眷念之情熔于一爐，表達出渴望親人團聚、國家統一的強烈愿望。
