　　Every man carries Two Bags about with him, one in front and one behind, and both are packed full of faults. The Bag in front contains his neighbours’ faults, the one behind his own. Hence it is that men do not see their own faults, but never fail to see those of others.

　　每個人生來都帶著兩個口袋，一個在前，一個在后，兩個口袋里都滿載缺點。前面那只口袋里裝的是別人的缺點，而后面那只口袋里則裝滿的是自己的'缺點。因此，人們總是看不見自己的缺點，卻永遠也不會忽視去看別人的缺點。

　　普羅米修斯創造了人，并在他們每個人身上掛了兩個口袋，一個裝別人的惡行，另一個裝自己的。他把那個裝別人惡行的口袋掛在前面，而裝有自己惡行的口袋則掛在后面。因此，人們總看見別人的惡行，自己的卻瞧不見。

　　這故事說明人們往往喜歡挑剔別人的`缺點，卻無視自身的缺點。所以，我們應學會正確認識自己，客觀地審視自己，不要只看到別人的不足，而忽略了自己的問題。要學會反思，不斷改進自己，這樣才能成為一個更好的人。同時，也要寬容對待他人的不足，用更包容的心態去看待周圍的人和事。
