What are you seeing the boss about?
你找老板有什么事?
約翰:
Because I want to quit! I`m sick of this unreasonable treatment!
因為我想要辭職!我討厭這不種合理的待遇!
哈里:
But why? You`ve worked here for 5 years without any problems before.
但是為什么?之前你可是安安穩穩在這里工作了5 年.
約翰:
Because they have year in, year out, refused to give me even a slight pay raise or extra benefits.

How`s that? Everyone else has at least received one raise.

約翰:
I don`t know. I can`t believe they say that I don`t deserve a raise.

Would you reconsider if management gave you a significant raise in pay and benefits to make up for all the other years during which you haven`t been given any?

約翰:
Maybe.

哈里:
What would you say to a 10%pay raise?
你看一次加10%的工資怎樣?
約翰:
I would probably consider it acceptable.
也許我還可以接受.
