　　Dr. Anderson:

　　Mr. Li quanzhi, who has just returned from your school, is considering offering Chinese classes to your students in the next academic year, or a vacancy for a Chinese teacher. I am interested in this position.

　　Since 1980, I have been teaching Chinese literature and writing in universities. Over the past three years, I have taught summer courses and taught Chinese language and culture to students from english-speaking countries. Therefore, I am familiar with the common learning difficulties of foreign students and can try to improve the teaching methods to achieve the best results.

　　After years of hard work in English, I can teach in English without any difficulty and get along well with American students.

　　I will be available after February 1998. If you need any other information, please feel free to write. Thank you for your consideration and look forward to hearing from you.

　　從剛從貴校返回的李全志先生處，德知貴校正在考慮下學年給貴校學生開設中文課，或可有一中文教師之空缺。本人對此職頗有興趣。

　　從1980年起，本人一直在高校講授中國文學與寫作課程。過去三年中，我曾主講暑期課程，向來自英語國家的學生教授中國語言與文化。因此，我對外國學生常見的學習困難非常熟知，并能設法改進教授方法以取得最佳效果。

　　積數年對英語的勤奮學習，我能毫無困難地用英語講課，并能與美國學生輕松相處。
