　　Salary，wage和pay這三個詞都可以表示“工資”，但其含義不同。salary是指非體力勞動者所得到的“工資、薪水”，通常按月，有時按季或年計算(Salary is usually paid monthly,sometimes three months or a year,for a job,esp.as for workers of higher skill and rank);wage指簡單勞動或體力勞動者所得的“工資、工錢”，通常按周、日等短期計算發給(Wages are paid weekly for a job,esp.as for labourers or workers.)，常用復數形式;pay指不論工作性質如何，針對勞動所支付的報酬，它包含salary和wage(s)(pay is paid for a job)，為不可數名詞。來看看相應的例子：

　　She draws a substantial salary.

　　她的薪水相當高。

　　His average wages are ￥ 250 a week.

　　他每周平均工資是250元人民幣。

　　I get my pay on time every month.

　　我每月按時領工資。

　　2.form是名詞，有“表格”的意思，也可由此引申出以下幾個意項。

　　(1)表示“形狀、外形”，如：

　　Churches are often built in the form of a cross.

　　教堂常常建成十字形。

　　(2)表示“表現形式”，如：

　　He adopted the prose form.

　　他采用散文形式。

　　(3)表示“(運動員的)體能健康狀況”，如：

　　If she is in form, she can win the match easily.

　　如果她競技狀態良好,她可以輕易贏得這場比賽。
