These different closings are used in different circumstances, depending on the relationship between the writer and the person receiving the letter or email. "Sincerely" is a friendly yet neutral ending best used in business correspondence. "Regards", or even better, "Best regards", can be used in business correspondence between business people who have a cordial business relationship. "Best wishes" and "Cheers" indicate a more casual tone and can be used by friends in business or personal letters and emails.
根據信件和電郵發件人與收件人之間關系的親疏，這些結束語要在不同的情況下使用。Sincerely是友善而中性的結束語，用在商業函件中最佳。擁有友好業務關系的商業人士之間的商業函件，可以使用Regards (Best Regards更好)。Best wishes和Cheers的語氣更隨意，可在商界友人以及私人書信和電郵中使用。
Take note: "Best wishes" is more likely to be used in the US and Canada and "Cheers" in the UK. "Love" is a very common closing in correspondence between friends, relatives and sweethearts. "Yours faithfully" is a kind of old fashioned closing in correspondence between married couples and lovers.
