The outside world is beautiful, they can play with their friends, watching movies, taking a break now and then. Play can make study better, students can have new idea, so they won’t stuck in the unsolved problem. Study needs to combine with play.

創造學習英語的環境對學不好英語的原因，我聽得最多的一個理由就是沒有英語環境。其實，你有很多的英語環境，比如圖書館提供了學英語的好環境，我在上大學的時候曾在圖書館里借過、讀過相當多的英語書。同時，圖書館里還有各種各樣的英文報紙、雜志。還有，眾多的國外英語廣播節目(如BBC、VOA)可以聽，國內也有很多不錯的英文廣播可以聽。英語電視節目更是豐富多彩，有英語新聞、英語音樂、英語電影。
當然，還要創造說英語的環境。你可以找外國人說英語，你還可以找幾個學英語的朋友一起練口語。你可以到英語角去練習口語。當然，你還可以自己跟自己說英語。你也可以去參加各種各樣的英語講座：電腦的、化學的、物理的、數學的、醫學的。
如何支配時間英語學習的時間支配，取決于你要發展的是哪一種英語技能。有些技能的訓練，花費的.時間越長越好。有些技能就需要每次短時間的強化練習。
比如，發展閱讀技能，你每次讀的時間越長越好。大量的讀是提高英語閱讀水平的前提。聽力技能的培養也是一樣，每次聽的時間越長越好。
語音技能的訓練則不然，每次語音練習兩三個小時，就不科學，效率也不高。你應該把較長的時間分成較短的時間段。每次練習時應使大腦保持在大腦處于最清醒狀態。這樣集中練習半個小時，就應停下來。一次練習過后，再過一段時間(比如三個小時)再練習半小時，就再停下來這種短時間段的高強度重復，是提高語音技能的最有效的方法。
